After failing to make any sports team at high school, I was instead allowed to take a photography course outside of school, and in doing so, saved myself from the boredom of netball. Here my passion for photography developed, which led me to enrol in and complete a Bachelor of Photojournalism at Griffith University's, Queensland College of Art.
Upon finishing my degree, I was invited by legendary UK war photographer, Tim Page, to accompany him on a photographic journey to Cambodia where we would document an EU initiative, the Peace Art Project Cambodia (PAPC): Turning Weapons into Art. The sums of our efforts resulted in two exhibitions and an appearance on ABC's the 7:30 Report.
In 2005 I began working as a staff photographer at the Courier Mail newspaper. I specialized in Features and Music Photography and in 2006, I was nominated by Capture Magazine as one of Australia's Top Eight Rock Photographers. 2007 led me to France where I photographed James Packer and Erica Baxter's Wedding for the Sydney Morning Herald. I am currently working on several personal projects, and, still remain no good at sport.
