Associate Professor at the University of Queensland. Registered architect with practice experience with Russell Hall Architects and Addison Associates in Queensland and Archidamia in Tasmania. Teaching experience in Tasmania and Queensland in the areas of architectural design, technology and architectural communications. MArch research applied critical regionalist theory to an innovative timber housing design. Research fields include medium density housing design, construction innovation, timber structures, local architectural history, contemporary criticism and architectural pedagogy. Winner of the Queensland RAIA Robin Dods Award in 2000 with Elizabeth Watson-Brown Architect for the design of their St Lucia House.
